That's my rack with furry butts in front of the window. No joke, look how calming the view is!! I woke up to a weird sort of song playing around the camp. I couldn't tell if it was "God Bless America" or "Star Spangled Banner" no idea. DQ swears it was "Reveille" but I know for a fact it wasn't that! It was kinda cool though. I heard bells in the middle of the night as well. I wondered if it was the navy admiral camped down the way from us. Maybe it's his thing, like the guy in the opening scenes of Mary Poppins with his cannon. Who knows...

I have to share my view waking up this morning.
We loaded up fairly quickly this morning so we could get on the road. The drive was a little lengthy, but not too bad. Turns out we are in the mountains now. We went from our beach resort island this morning to being deep in the San Gabriel Mountains (or Sierra Madres). It's God's country out here. We are tucked into the side of a mountain in this small little community. It's just wonderful here. I think this is our favorite camp so far. This place has everything perfect for a family resort camp. They even have a every day full of engaging activities for families. I love this place!!
I've set up our camp area outside the cabin. It's so cute cos we are right next to the lagoon. The lakes looked like they'd pull in too much foot traffic so we elected to be over off the lagoon. This place will be home for at least a week and I think we've already decided to come back after we go up north.
I have to hit the hay. Tomorrow I get to go into Los Angeles and see my Marine and my Polo-er for a Ganger Smith concert!!!
Expect tomorrow's pictures to be AWESOME!!
